About Meadville Mennonite Chapel

Meadville Mennonite Chapel is a community of believers in Meadville, Pennsylvania, committed to making disciples of the Master and reaching the unchurched with the good news of Jesus’ invitation to participate in the kingdom of God.

Our history

Our congregation began with Shalom Mennonite Church (then of Guys Mills, PA) looking to establish an outreach in the city of Meadville. Those interested in the work participated in several discussions, out of which a leadership team and group of elders were called to lead the work. We began meeting for Sunday services in January 2007 in a building on Park Avenue, then moved to our current location on Baldwin Street in 2008.

Our affiliation

Meadville Mennonite Chapel is not formally associated with any denominational group but enjoys fellowship with other Mennonite congregations in the area and an informal association with Shalom Mennonite Church (Cochranton, PA) and Agape Mennonite Fellowship (Minsk, Poland).
